Thursday close to 40 car pooled first to Abundant Life Farm near Dallas. Scott and Marilyn Jondle showed us how they pasture raise and market sheep, cattle, chickens and other livestock. |

We ate box lunces on the way to Jon Carters commercial hair sheep farm near Scio, he's using Wiltshire Polled genes AI to improve his flock. |

At the OSU sheep barn Tom Nichols gave us some good insights on newborn lamb care |

We had a fun evening welcoming folks to Oregon at our Host hotel in Corvallis |

On Friday Dr Kreg Leymaster, NE gave some interesting talks on genetics and performance; "The Katahdin: Just another Breed, or an Exception?" |

Dr. Woody Lane, L Livestock Services, OR, gave a couple very informative and useful talks. |

Dr Lynn Hermann-Hoesing, USDA-ARS in Pullman, WA spoke on using genetic tools to identify genetic disease in breeding stock, especially OPP |

Dr Jim Miller, LA, gave good practical advice on parasite management and control and decreasing resistance to dewormers |

Dr Charles Parker, Ohio spoke on how we can market breeding stock in the 21st century. |

Saturday morning started with Dr Parker with his 4 legged stool demonstration of how we need to balance conformation, pedegree and performance as we select our breeding stock. |
